Wind Advisory

... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM PST Thursday...

A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM PST Thursday.

During the overnight period southwest winds along ridge tops will
increase to 30 to 40 mph with gusts to greater than 60 mph.
Valley winds will be somewhat weaker but may at times experience
sudden gusts to 55 mph... especially at locations downwind of
ridges.

Thursday morning a cold front will cross the Cascades and move
eastward across the interior Pacific northwest. After the cold
front passage... winds will be out of the southwest to west and
will remain very windy in the 25 to 35 mph range with gusts to
50 mph. These conditions will continue Thursday and then begin to
diminish Thursday evening.

A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds are forecast
between 30 and 39 mph or gusts ranging from 46 to 57 mph. Winds
of these magnitudes can make driving difficult... especially for
high profile vehicles. Minor property damage may also occur. For
