Winter Storm Watch


... Winter Storm Watch now in effect from Thursday evening through
Friday afternoon...

The Winter Storm Watch is now in effect from Thursday evening
through Friday afternoon.

Snow will move into the area by early Thursday evening... and
continue through Friday afternoon. Snowfall of 1 foot or more is
likely by late Friday afternoon.

A watch means conditions are favorable for the development of
winter storm conditions in and close to the watch area.

Preparation for this potentially dangerous weather event should
begin now.

This statement will be updated by 9 PM akst this evening or sooner if
conditions warrant.

... Wind Advisory now in effect until 6 am akst Thursday...

The Wind Advisory is now in effect until 6 am akst Thursday.

Gusty northeast winds out of interior passes will continue
through tonight.

A Wind Advisory means that sustained wind speed or frequent gusts
will occur between 40 and 60 mph.

This statement will be updated by 9 PM akst Wednesday or sooner
if conditions warrant.
